Managing large-scale aquaculture farms is both difficult and risky, hence the high barrier to entry in global and local markets. The water quality requires careful management in order to ensure maximum growth rates and minimum mortality rates. Staffing needs to be managed to ensure that there are sufficient specialised and/or professional individuals on site for each shift to guarantee effective farm functionality. The ‘feed’ in turn exacts management attention to detail to ensure unique nutrition requirements are met. Each tank demands mathematically determined feed volumes. Other aspects of aquaculture farm management require equal attention to promote the success of the farm. This includes but is not limited to sales management, farm planning, process plant management, logistics management, and procurement, research and development and farm finances.
Our OnIT-1 team has developed the pioneering Trustmaster Farm and Water Manager to address all these issues.
